CNC Router

Precision Cutting for Large-Scale and High-Volume Projects

At Pro Fabrication, our CNC router services deliver high-precision, computer-controlled cutting for wood, plastics, composites, and soft metals. Unlike handheld routers, our CNC routers follow automated programming, ensuring repeatable accuracy, intricate detailing, and seamless large-format production. Whether you need custom fabrication, signage, furniture components, or industrial parts, we provide fast, precise, and efficient CNC routing solutions tailored to your needs.

Why Choose CNC Routing?

    • Achieves tight tolerances for detailed cutting, engraving, and shaping.

    • Ensures smooth edges and clean finishes for all types of materials.

    • CNC routers can create intricate patterns, curves, and three-dimensional designs that would be difficult or impossible with manual tools.

    • CNC routers can process a wide range of materials, including:

      • Wood – Ideal for furniture, cabinetry, and signage.

      • Plastics – Acrylic, PVC, and other thermoplastics for industrial and decorative applications.

      • Composites – MDF, plywood, and engineered panels.

      • Soft Metals – Aluminum and other non-ferrous metals.

      • Foam – Commonly used for prototyping, lightweight structures, and sign making.

How CNC Routing Works

  • Digital Design

A CAD (Computer-Aided Design) file is created, defining the exact shape and dimensions of the part.

  • Material Setup

The chosen material (wood, plastic, composites, or soft metals) is secured onto the router bed.

  • Precision Cutting

The computer program directs the cutting tool’s speed, depth, and path, ensuring highly detailed cuts and engravings.

  • Final Processing

Once cutting is complete, parts can undergo finishing steps such as sanding, painting, or assembly.

Key CNC Router Components

Spindle – The motorized cutting head that rotates the router bit at high speeds to carve, cut, or engrave materials.

Router Bits (Cutting Tools) – Available in various shapes and sizes, designed for specific cutting, engraving, and shaping tasks across different materials.

Work Table (Bed) – The flat surface where materials are secured before cutting. Some CNC routers feature vacuum beds for better material stability.

Gantry System – Supports and moves the spindle along the X, Y, and Z axes, enabling precise, multi-directional cutting.

Drive System (Motors & Rails) – Stepper or servo motors control the movement of the spindle and cutting head, ensuring smooth, controlled operation.

Dust Collection System – Many CNC routers include a built-in vacuum system to remove excess dust and debris, keeping the work area clean.

Computer Control System – Converts G-code programming into machine movements, ensuring accurate execution of complex cuts.
